Are you a Cook who keeps a clear overview in the kitchen and delivers consistent quality on every plate? From mise and place to beautifully plated creations, you feel right at home in the kitchen and love showing off your skills. You’re also confident taking responsibility for your own section.

The moment you walk in, you step straight into the lively atmosphere of the kitchen. You greet your colleagues, briefly connect with the bar and service team, and discuss the planning, special requests, and any larger groups with the chef. Then you get to work together: making sure lunch service runs smoothly and everything is prepared for a busy evening ahead. Along the way, there is always room for a joke, a compliment, and of course checking whether the guests are happy. Before you know it, your shift is over.

What makes you the right candidate for the role of Cook?

Work experience as a Chef de Partie or independently working cook;
You are able to work independently as well as in a team and confidently take responsibility for your section;
Having a certified trainer (mentor/assessor) qualification is a plus.
Flexible availability regarding working days and working hours.
Good command of the Dutch and/or English language;
You are either living on Vlieland, willing to relocate, or staying on the island during your working week.

Working on Vlieland

On Vlieland, we have two hotels and a beach pavilion. Our family business originally started with Hotel de Wadden in the Dorpsstraat. Strandhotel Seeduyn is located directly on the beach, and it is also home to the island’s only large beach pavilion: ’t Badhuys. Vlieland is a tourist island with wide white beaches and a lively village with plenty of cosy bars. In summer, it’s sometimes called Vliebiza; in winter, it becomes a place where you can truly enjoy the close-knit, familiar atmosphere together with your colleagues. In addition, Vlieland offers beautiful natural surroundings.
