WestCord Hotels
Although the name might suggest otherwise: WestCord Hotels is a purely Dutch family company, with its origins on Vlieland. In the 1960s tourism grew on the Wadden Islands and in 1968 baker Emo Westers decided to buy Hotel de Wadden for his 18-year-old son Harry. The first WestCord Hotel.
Today, 15 hotels throughout the Netherlands belong to the WestCord family. Most of the time we can be found in our hotels where we are constantly working on improvement and renewal. Our hotels are all unique. In our vision, a hotel must be full service, distinctive and adapt to its environment. In addition to hotel guests, local residents and businesses from the area are also welcome to use all of the hotel’s facilities. Our door is wide open to everyone.
In 2018 we celebrated our 50th anniversary with the opening of the special Hotel Jakarta on Java-eiland in Amsterdam. An energy neutral hotel with a subtropical courtyard. On May 1, 2021, the doors of our newest acquisition: The Market Hotel in Groningen opened. Again a special hotel in a unique location: in the heart of the city center on the Grote Markt. It is nice to mention that our second “Westers Bakery” is located in this hotel. This brings us back to our roots.
Passion and perseverance have given us the opportunity to expand the number of hotels over the years. Beautiful pearls have been added. We consider ourselves fortunate to have a professional management team and dedicated employees who do their best every day to make your stay unforgettable. Our work is our life and our hotels are your home.
