You will work under the guidance of our International Chef, Tsvetin Atanasov. He cooks at a high level and places great value on quality, creativity, and teamwork in the kitchen. Within the team, you will have the freedom to take responsibility and showcase your own ideas and creativity. Our chef challenges you to bring out the best in yourself while working together on innovative dishes.

At our restaurant, Op West, we cook in a fusion style, creating dishes that are surprising, sometimes adventurous, and internationally inspired. Together, you will elevate every plate and create a unique experience for our guests. From mise and place to beautifully plated dishes, you feel at home in the kitchen and confidently show your skills.

The moment you walk in, you step straight into the lively atmosphere of the kitchen. You greet your colleagues, briefly connect with the bar and service team, and discuss the planning, special requests, and any larger groups with the chef. Then you get to work together: making sure lunch service runs smoothly and everything is prepared for a busy evening ahead. Along the way, there is always room for a joke, a compliment, and of course checking whether the guests are happy. Before you know it, your shift is over.

Working on Terschelling

You will be working at Hotel Schylge on Terschelling. Hotel Schylge is located in the only natural bay in the Netherlands. Terschelling is a tourist island with always something happening. Perhaps you know it from the famous festival Oerol? If not, this could be the perfect time to discover it! However, working at WestCord is not just about running and sweating during your shift.
