As soon as you arrive, you step right into the lively chaos. You greet your colleagues in the kitchen and briefly connect with the bar and service staff. Together with the chef, you discuss the mise en place, special details, and any large groups, after which tasks are divided. As a team, you ensure a smooth lunch service and get everything ready for a busy evening. In between, there’s always time for a joke, a compliment, and a quick check to see if guests are satisfied. Before you know it, your shift is over!

Working on Vlieland
On Vlieland, we have two hotels and a beach pavilion. Our family business started with Hotel de Wadden in the Dorpsstraat, Strandhotel Seeduyn is located by the beach, and there you'll also find the island's only beach pavilion, ‘t Badhuys. Vlieland is a tourist island with large white beaches and a cozy village, complete with the necessary pubs. In the summer, it’s often called Vliebiza, while in the winter, it’s primarily a place to enjoy the tight-knit camaraderie with your colleagues. Additionally, Vlieland boasts beautiful nature.
