Job as a cook in a unique location, including room and board!

Are you ready for a new adventure as a chef? We are looking for an enthusiastic (part-time) cook starting in March/April 2026 who is willing to work hard, but above all wants to enjoy their work. Enjoy your vacation or weekends on the always lively island of Terschelling!

Do you know how to prepare the most delicious dishes or would you like to contribute to this? Are you someone who enjoys seeing satisfied guests and sees dissatisfied guests as a challenge? Someone who can work hard, but at the same time knows how to maintain a good atmosphere? Then we are looking for you!

From washing lettuce to frying steaks and from slicing cucumbers to creating beautiful dishes, you feel at home in the kitchen and can show off your skills or learn new ones!

When you arrive at work, you are greeted by a pleasant chaos. You greet your colleagues in the kitchen and wave to the bar and service staff. You discuss with the chef what still needs to be done in terms of mise and place. Are there any special requests or large groups coming in? The tasks are divided up. Together with your colleagues, you make sure that the lunch dishes fly out the door and that everything is ready for another busy evening.

In between, you joke around with the dishwasher, compliment your colleague on a beautiful dish, and ask the waiter if all the guests are satisfied. Your shift flies by. After your shift, you enjoy a cold drink with your colleagues. Being a chef on an island isn't so bad!

Working on Terschelling

You will be working in ApartHotel Boschrijck on Terschelling. ApartHotel Boschrijck (the name says it all) is located in the middle of the woods. It is a real family hotel with spacious apartments. Terschelling is a touristic island, where there is always plenty to do. Maybe you know it from the famous Oerol Festival? If not, then maybe now is the time to find out!

But… working with WestCord doesn’t mean all running and sweating during your shift. Because, besides a hard worker, we are looking for someone who will dive into the sea with us, someone who enjoys getting to know new people, spends free hours sunbathing or surfing on the beach, someone who wants to end the working day with a cozy drink or a campfire on the beach!
