As a Breakfast Cook / Assistant Cook, you are an important part of our kitchen team. At least two days a week, you will prepare breakfast for our hotel guests. With a strong eye for detail, you ensure a well-organised and attractive breakfast buffet and respond flexibly to busy moments. In addition, you are responsible for preparing a tasty and varied staff lunch.

On the other days, you will work as an assistant cook on the cold section. You support mise and place and assist during lunch and dinner services. You help prepare and plate dishes and, together with your colleagues, ensure that service runs smoothly, even during peak hours.

You start your shift in consultation with the chef, discuss the planning, and divide tasks together. The kitchen has an informal yet professional atmosphere where teamwork is key. Alongside hard work, there is room for humour, appreciation, and short coordination moments with the service team, ensuring guests leave with a positive experience.

We are looking for someone who is hands-on, flexible, and feels at home in a dynamic kitchen environment. Experience is a plus, but motivation, eagerness to learn, and a positive attitude are just as important. You can work independently, function well in a team, and maintain oversight during busy moments.

Working on Vlieland

On Vlieland, we have two hotels and a beach pavilion. Our family business originally started with Hotel de Wadden in the Dorpsstraat. Strandhotel Seeduyn is located directly on the beach, and it is also home to the island’s only large beach pavilion: ’t Badhuys. Vlieland is a tourist island with wide white beaches and a lively village with plenty of cosy bars. In summer, it’s sometimes called Vliebiza; in winter, it becomes a place where you can truly enjoy the close-knit, familiar atmosphere together with your colleagues. In addition, Vlieland offers beautiful natural surroundings.
