Hotel Schylge

I am Bas Bremer, 19 years old, and in my free time, I enjoy spending time with friends and family. My career at WestCord Hotels began when I was looking for an internship through school and eventually ended up at this specific hotel. After a five-month internship, I progressed to the position of Front Office employee.

My day starts off quietly. I arrive, make a cup of coffee, and ensure that everything is in order. Many of my days revolve around handling emails and phone calls, which keeps me quite busy. Checking guests in and out is also part of my responsibilities. At the end of the day, we wrap everything up, and the workday comes to an end.

What I enjoy most about my position is the guest interaction and assisting with room sales, especially when people are planning a year in advance. For me, clarity and structure are the most important aspects of a job. This helps me work efficiently.

In the coming period, I want to further develop in all areas related to my work environment. My highlight so far at WestCord Hotels has been my progression from intern to employee. If I ask my colleagues how they would describe me, I think they would say I am calm, social, and stress-resistant.
