Housekeeper

Job or part-time job as a housekeeping staff member in a hotel at a unique location, including options for meals and accommodation!

The work mainly involves cleaning the rooms. This means we work in teams of two to make sure the rooms are spotless. A guest should feel like the room has never been rented before and the bed has never been slept in. If we manage to achieve that, we've done a great job. It’s really nice that we clean the rooms together, they say "teamwork makes dreamwork" for a reason! Making the bed is always a team effort, then one of us works on the room while the other focuses on the bathroom. In the next room, we switch tasks so the work doesn’t get monotonous.

Morning shifts are also part of the job, where we clean the public areas together. The toilets are included in this as well.

Easy? Not at all! It’s hard work, but thankfully there’s a lot of fun within the team, making the day fly by! Will you be joining our housekeeping team soon?

This job is varied, as sometimes you'll also hop on a bike to deliver the best meals to our guests' homes.

Working on Vlieland

On Vlieland, we have two hotels and a beach pavilion. Our family business started with Hotel de Wadden on Dorpsstraat, Strandhotel Seeduyn is located on the beach, and here you’ll also find the only large beach pavilion on the island, ‘t Badhuys. Vlieland is a tourist island with large white beaches and a cozy village, complete with plenty of pubs. In the summer, it’s often called "Vliebiza," and in winter, it’s mainly a place to enjoy the close-knit community spirit with your colleagues. Plus, Vlieland offers stunning nature.
