Workplace as a Self-Employed Cook at a Unique Location, Including Accommodation and Meals!

We are looking for an independent cook with a passion for the profession and a love for using beautiful, fresh ingredients. As an independent cook, you are the indispensable cog in the team, working under the guidance of our Sous Chefs. Are you that passionate cook with ambition and a love for the craft, someone who lives to send our guests home with a smile on their face? If you have several years of experience in an international kitchen, focusing on French/Mediterranean cuisine, then we are looking for you!

When you arrive at work, you’re immediately greeted by the cozy chaos. You greet your colleagues in the kitchen and wave to the busy bar and service staff. You discuss with the chef what needs to be done for mise en place. Are there any special requests, and are there large groups coming in? The tasks are divided. Together with your colleagues, you ensure the lunch dishes are flying out the door and everything is prepped for another busy evening. In between, you joke around with the dishwasher, compliment your colleague on a beautiful dish, and ask the service staff if the guests are happy. Your shift flies by. After your shift, you have a cold drink and look out over the sea. Being a chef on an island isn’t so bad after all.

Working on Vlieland
On Vlieland, we have two hotels and a beach pavilion. Our family business started with Hotel de Wadden in the Dorpsstraat, Strandhotel Seeduyn is located by the beach, and there you'll also find the island's only beach pavilion, ‘t Badhuys. Vlieland is a tourist island with large white beaches and a cozy village, complete with the necessary pubs. In the summer, it’s often called Vliebiza, while in the winter, it’s primarily a place to enjoy the tight-knit camaraderie with your colleagues. Additionally, Vlieland boasts beautiful nature.
