Who are you and what is your position within WestCord?
Hi everyone I'm Laura and I work in operations at the Westcord City Centre Hotel Amsterdam. My weeks are a combination of breakfast and front desk.
How did you experienced your onboarding period within WestCord City Centre?
My onboarding period was exciting. I met wonderful colleagues of different nationalities, which was very interesting and enriching. It was also a great experience to know how a hotel in the heart of Amsterdam works.
Where would you like to stand within five years within your career?
I have only been working for Westcord for a month but I would like to continue learning more about the hotel operation in order to feel totally independent and to be able to give guests the best possible service. That is my great passion to help and satisfy the guests as much as I can.
What did you find the best within WestCord City Centre?
Without a doubt, diversity. From your colleagues to the guests. Every day you meet people from all over the world and every day at the hotel is unique and different and that is exciting. Sometimes I think I don't need to travel but just to hear some stories from my colleagues or guests about their countries, it's amazing.
